Fancy some delicious sandwiches? We here in Germany are world champions when it comes to baking bread, but are we also the best when it comes to sandwiches? Not really. Other countries tend to be more creative when making sandwiches. Denmark and the US are our clear favorites here. Mom certainly wouldn’t have packed us these delicious (Veggie) Smoked Tofu Avocado Sandwiches for school back in the days. Let’s assume she did not even know what smoked tofu was back in the 80s and 90s. ;P
It is cupcake time again! Yay! Making these little fellas not very often lately. Well… good reason to make something special today – Superduper Superfood Cupcakes! ;)
What’s the first thing you think of, when you see an avocado? Guacamole. Right. But cake? Neither would I ;)
Avocados are like pineapples for me (sounds weird, I know). I see them in the supermarket and think “hm… I really like them. Haven’t had one in a while. Let me buy one!” – and then I look at them at home and think “I will do something with it tomorrow”. And after a couple of days they are rotten, because I never touched them again. It’s bad.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
