Delicious apricots are available in every supermarket in summer – they come in different sizes and a wide variety of colors – sometimes yellow, sometimes orange, sometimes red. No matter what type of apricots you have on hand, you can use all of them to make this delicious (Sunken) Apricot Cake. An extremely simple cake that tastes awesome. Just like Grandma always made it!
Happy Cookie Friday! Today’s recipe is an easy one. No baking needed here. These cookies require much less work than other cookies I got here on the blog… even though my cookie recipes are normally not complicated at all ;P Well, these No-Bake Amaranth White Chocolate Cookies are a quick fix for your next craving for sweet stuff. They are also sugar-free… did I mention that already?! Well…now you know! ;)
Today I got a delicious cheesecake for you. Once again a cheesecake, yes! Is there a moment where cheesecake is not the perfect cake to make? Exactly! Everybody loves cheesecake! ;) Rich, but not too sweet and incredibly delicious. Nectarines and apricots make this Ricotta Cheesecake here very refreshing on a hot summer day! Can’t think of anything that would be better right now…
Do you have bakes/dishes that remind you of specific vacations or countries you’ve visited? I got that with Austria, for example. Mozartkugeln, Sachertorte and these Marillenknödel (aka. Sweet Apricot Dumplings) here always remind me of our neighboring country. The first two delicacies are quite obviously connected to Austria (they originate in Salzburg and Vienna) – the apricot dumplings on the other hand are a bit more difficult to connect to Austria alone since they are also common in Bavaria and Czechia. Those dumplings are actually an “import” from former Bohemia. I bet you knew that already ;)
The end of the month is here… the money is gone and everyone is waiting for fresh money to appear on the bank account ;) Well.. even though this is an important topic, there is something much more important at the end of each month: Bake Together – The Baking Surprise with Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte! Yay! ;) You know… that little baking thing where we choose a topic and surprise each other with the result. This month it’s all about apricots and I made a delicious galette with… apricots! And plums and nectarines ;)
We love to eat ice cream all year round. We even have it for dessert in the middle of winter… whenever we have some at home. Which is not always. Luckily, you can make these delicious Skyr & Granola Popsicles quite easily at home. You have to freeze the popsicles for some time, of course, but with a little planning, almost anything is possible. ;P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
