Brownies are something almost everyone likes. I bet these delicious Oreo Brownie Chocolates (Pralines) will get the same attention when served… probably even more ;) They are small, cute, and super chocolaty – so small nobody will notice you grabbed one from the plate with the sweets. At least that is what’s happening here at home. Gone in a hot second and never seen again. Well, unless you make another batch ;)
It’s always nice to have some small snacks that you can munch on if you have friends over for a party or movie night. If the snacks are delicious this can be a bit tricky though. If you like everything that is lying around the chances are good you eat too much. These Easy Vegan “Sausage” Snack Rolls are especially delicious and dangerous ;P I think I have eaten half of the plate here… if not more. I had to take an extra walk with the dog at the end of the day. These little things are vegan but neither healthy nor without calories ;P
I guess… if you like to cook and bake as much as I do, you normally have something prepared when guests come over, right? Whenever I got someone coming to our place for a movie or game night I love to prepare stuff I normally don’t do (during the week). Snacks that are great for a crowd but not perfect if you are only two at home. Snacks like these Potato Skins with Bacon & Cheese, for example. Absolutely divine but a bit much if you want to eat all of them alone ;P
What’s the most important thing you need when you have friends or family over on your terrace? Drinks? Well… yes, but what about food? Most definitely! ;P I think snacks are more essential than drinks. I am fine with water only if I get some olives to nibble on or nice bread and something to dip ;) That’s why I always have stuff like that at home, or at least, the ingredients to make something like this Feta Spread with Sun-dried Tomatoes. Nobody sits on my terrace without anything to eat ;P
There is a lot you can do with tomatoes. They are great in a salad, for cooking, and even for baking. Especially in summer, when tomatoes taste best, they are used constantly in my kitchen. Mostly for salads like this tomato salad served with a creamy burrata and toasted bread slices. It’s super easy to prepare and on the table in no time. Perfect as an appetizer or as a snack along with a beer on the terrace. So good ;)
When it’s time for a movie night or game night, you always need something to snack on, right? Chips and other snacks from the supermarket are probably the easiest way to keep a crowd happy… or you could order some pizzas. Actually a good idea most of the time. However, if you got some time to prepare something, I would recommend making some Pigs in a blanket like these here. They are easy to make and sooo good. I love them, and they are the perfect finger food/snack for a nice evening at home ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
