The Spanish are known for many delicious dishes. Paella is probably one of the best-known Spanish dishes that is also very popular outside the country’s borders. This One-Pan Rice & Chorizo Skillet has nothing to do with it, even though it may look similar ;P I want to be very clear. No Paella. If I did not say this, I’d probably be in trouble here at home. Certain people here are very sensitive when it comes to Paella ;P
If you need something to eat quickly, a simple Fried Rice with Eggs & Veggies might be the perfect dish for you. When all ingredients are available in your kitchen (including the cooked and cooled rice) you should have something ready in less than 30 minutes. We really love to make fried rice here because it’s so easy to do, and it always tastes really delicious!
We love Asian cuisine. Thailand, Vietnam, China, or Japan – all countries have so many different and delicious dishes. Actually, so many delicious dishes it’s sometimes hard to make a choice ;) We love recipes that use a lot of veggies, but the ones with meat are also pretty popular here. This one here – Spicy Meatballs with Rice & Cucumber Salad – is a good example. Rice, meat, and veggies are a great combination! If you like it spicy this might be the perfect dish for you. But even people that prefer it milder can prepare this meal – you can adjust the level of spiciness easily here. We want everyone to be happy here ;)
The name of this website probably lets you think it’s all about baking – but no. Now and then I will publish cooking recipes. Delicious meals I like to prepare at home and wanted to share with you. One of my favorite dishes for Christmas is definitely this: Ossobuco with Gremolata. A delicious dish that is perfect for special occasions… like Christmas ;)
“If you want to sell a frying pan, make a Turkey Stew with Rice!” That’s what a friend of mine used to say. She sold kitchen appliances, pots, and pans on a home shopping channel back in the day. No idea if she sold a lot of this stuff but the theory sounds convincing. Pretty much everyone likes Turkey Stew ;P
Maybe I am the only one here… maybe not. When you cook one of your favorite dishes – do you get excited just from smelling the spices you add because you know it’s going to be super delicious? Well… when I make this delicious Butter Chicken it is exactly like that. The flavors are soo good! Don’t even get me started on the tenderness of the chicken or I will end up drooling over my laptop while writing about it… :P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
