Pumpkin season is upon us and that means Cookie Friday also has been taken over by those orange giants. It is quite easy to use pumpkin somewhere in a recipe, so smuggling something in the dough for these soft Frosted Pumpkin Cookies was pretty easy – together with the maple syrup frosting you will get a delicious sweet treat everyone will devour. What more could you ask for?! ;P
Fall finally arrived and that means it is pumpkin season. These orange and yellow bulky thingies are basically lying around everywhere in supermarkets and farmers’ markets right now and blocking everything. Including walkways… well and waiting to be turned into delicious dishes or Halloween decorations – depending on what type of pumpkin it is ;) As a food blogger, I prefer getting those you can cook and bake with – though I don’t mind getting a big one for some carving action sometimes. But today is all about pumpkin in recipes and not about decoration tips – that’s why I got this delicious Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie for you today! It’s so good…
It’s time for another “foodie holiday”! Today is National Pumpkin Day! Well… the day is mostly celebrated in the US, but we don’t mind and want to celebrate that big and orange fellas here in Germany as well ;) By “we” I mean me, myself and some other food bloggers from all over Germany. Partners in pumpkin crime so to say. So get ready for some delicious pumpkin recipes. I started celebrations early with some delicious Jack O’Lantern Cookies yesterday, but this Maple Pumpkin Pie is definitely the highlight of the pumpkin celebration :)
Pumpkins are in season right now – not only to use them for Halloween as scary decoration ;P These big orange fellas are mostly here to feed us and since the season is quite long, you can easily get them in stores until January… and if you freeze them you can enjoy them even longer. Or make this delicious Pumpkin Chocolate Bundt Cake almost all year round…
It’s time for another “Bake Together – The Baking Surprise”! Yay! Last month Andrea (Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte) and I skipped our regular baking event. Since we are posting our recipes always on the last weekend of the month, December is always off the charts because of Christmas and New Years Eve. Too many other things on our plates :P But a little break is never wrong. Gives you new energy for new tasks. This time we decided to work with some veggies for a change. That’s why this month we made “beetroot” our topic. And as you can see I made a veggies pie with red beet. Mmmm…!
What do you think about some chocolate for #CookieFriday? Who am I kidding… did I really say “some chocolate”? I mean a lot of chocolate! Double chocolate! :P
I guess this is what my subconscious mind says all the time. I mean… a tiny bit more chocolate can’t hurt, right?! Just eat a bit less of whatever you bake and then all is fine. So “double chocolate” is nothin’ wrong, right?! ;)

I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
