Are you already in the mood for some cookies?! It’s Cookie Friday and I got some delicious cookies for you… you’re not surprised I see ;) Well… I am pretty sure you will love these Maple Pecan Cookies as much as I do!

These delicious sandwich cookies with a nut nougat filling and caramelized almonds almost did not make it to the blog (on time). I was reaaaaaaally late for my recipe and blog post for the “Bake Together – The Baking Surprise” event with Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte. I was really close to publishing “plan B”… but fortunately, I managed to get everything done in time.
[I have partnered with Lidl Deutschland for this article]
Is Christmas around the corner for you or still light years away? Here in Germany, you can buy Christmas cookies since late August already. We don’t have a “Thanksgiving season” between summer and Christmas ;P The first time I heard “Last Christmas” from Wham! this year happened quite some time ago… a sign for you to get the Christmas presents ready ;)
For me personally, Christmas season started beginning of October. I met with some blogger colleagues on an event in Hamburg called “Lidl-Backstube”. Christmas songs were playing constantly, mulled wine and loads of Christmas cookies like my Macadamia White Chocolate Kisses. From that point on all was about Santa and the jolly time of the year ;)
Are you ready for some nuts? Maybe some Christmas cookies with pecans and chocolate? Sounds good? Well… surprise, surprise! I got something for you with those ingredients. Delicious Pecan Chocolate Crinkle Cookies in da house! If you want to make some cookies for Christmas, these are the ones to make. Seriously ;)
I went through my cookie recipes – again – and found a nice selection I wanted to show you. It’s all about nuts today! Walnuts, Pecans, Macadamias, Cashews etc. All the good stuff we all love! I’m sure there are plenty of recipes you will like as much as I do ;)
It’s Gugelhupf time! Haven’t baked a bundt cake aka. Gugelhupf for quite some time to be honest – even though they are so easy to prepare… and most of the time delicious ;) Bundt cakes is something even my mom managed to bake even though she was no great baker. I think she would like this (Tyrol) Nut Gugelhupf with that thick layer of chocolate on top. Maybe I should send her a piece. :P
