Strawberries are incredibly delicious, but baking with them is sometimes a bit difficult. Fresh strawberries often release too much moisture into a bake and can therefore be a little problematic. That’s why these Espresso Strawberry Brownie Cookies are made with freeze-dried strawberries. Not only are they available all year round, they are also more flavorful… Let’s be honest, that never hurts. ;P
March is about to end and some of you might know what this means… the last Sunday of the month is always „Bake Together – The Baking Surprise“ day. Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte and I are deciding on a topic and bake. This month it’s all about Easter. Who would have guessed ;) So grab a plate and a fork, I got a nice Chocolate Easter Cake with Eierlikör. Mmmmm…
What do you think about chocolate? The more the better, right? ;) Today’s Cookies follow that easy rule. They are packed with a huge load of chocolate. A bit more and and you could call these Chocolate Truffle Cookies chocolate bars in cookie shape :P
It’s finally a sunny day in Berlin again after all those rainy and grey days. Even though the light is slowly coming back, I still need some extra kick in the morning to wake up. Instead of making a coffee, I reccomend eating a nice cupcake like one of those with a nice dosage of chocolate and espresso. Perfect start into the day ;)

I hope you’re on the sweet side with me today. This cake is a bomb! Really. It is not like other “boring” cakes – this cake is a “wooomph” in your mouth (and brain eventually as soon as the sugar and espresso kicks in) ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
