Classic German Easter Bread

Easter is the time for yeast bakes. Easter would be impossible without a Sweet Braided Loaf or a Classic German Easter Bread like this one here. At least in our family. Those bakes are necessary for Easter like Christmas cookies are for Christmas ;) Our Easter breakfast/brunch would not be perfect without it. To make things easier you can prepare the dough in advance and bake the braided loaf or bread the next morning. Preparing the dough does not take long – it needs quite some time to rise… that’s all. Same for all yeast bakes ;P

If you always wanted to command an army of little Easter Bunnies – this is your chance to live your fantasy ;P I made a bunch of sweet little Easter Bunny Cookies with sugar icing and chocolate candy (asses). They are super easy to prepare and are a great option if you want to bake with kids. They can easily work with the dough and decorate the bunnies with the icing. And I assume they will also love to bite their ears and heads off ;P

Can there be anything better than brioche and chocolate combined? I don’t think so. This Chocolate Streusel Babka is an absolutely brilliant treat. Unfortunately, we do not make it very often. This bake needs a lot of attention and time when preparing it but the time and effort you put in is definitely worth it. A fluffy and chocolaty inside combined with a crisp and crunchy exterior… so good! Not only for Easter ;)

Easter without any Easter eggs is hard to imagine, right? Of course, they don’t necessarily have to be real eggs from the Easter Bunny, also not everyone likes chocolate eggs… How about Easter Egg Sugar Cookies? That’s something “eggy” you can nibble on, or you can use those eggs to decorate Easter nests. I think they make a pretty good addition to the good old chocolate Easter Bunny and all those other sweets you normally get ;)
