Anything sweet made with fluffy yeast dough, danish dough or puff pastry dough has always been my downfall. There is no other way to say it ;) Something sweet and fluffy – either filled with something fruity or chocolate – all of that is just too tempting for me. Especially, when fresh from the oven… I guess nobody can (really) say “no” to a croissant, danish, or any other sweet treat like that. Today I present to you “Exhibit A” to prove my point: delicious Brioche Croissants filled with Salted Caramel and Chocolate. So good!
Have you ever baked with potatoes? I do not mean a casserole dish with potatoes and veggies, but delicious sweet pastries. I am pretty sure many of you know potato bread and bread rolls, but do you know you can bake delicious cake rolls with potatoes? I made a really nice one the other day with a blueberry mascarpone filling. So good! That’s probably something new for many. Well, it’s something that can be fixed easily… by making these Potato Croissants with Blueberry Filling and Streusel Topping ;)
It’s the last Sunday of the month and some people might know what this means here on the blog… it’s time for a new “Bake Together – The Baking Surprise” with Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte. Yay! ;) This month we picked a topic that is probably perfect for any kind of lockdown ;P Something you can make at home while working from home (because most of the time you spend is waiting time): delicious croissants! This kind of pastry is always a small challenge for me, but I think these Chocolate Croissants turned out quite nice. Don’t you think so? ;)
It’s Sunday and you probably have a bit more time for reading and baking. If you want to make this recipe, you definitely need a bit more time. Sorry for that ;) These Croissant Donuts require some waiting time, so be patient… but the reward will be delicious for sure! I mean – who does not like something sweet fried on his/her plate?! ;))
I think everybody knows about them by now – Cruffins! Those delicious “hybrid” treats, where croissants and muffins come together. The flaky croissant gets the shape of a muffin, sometimes with a filling and it’s always delicious! In this case the filling is made with prunes!
Yes – not only a donut can fall in love with a croissant – muffins can do that too – in some way ;)
These cruffins are a mix of a flaky fluffy croissant and a muffin – the muffin is basically the shape ;) Forget cronuts – they are fatty fat fat – these cruffins are healthier I would say. They have quite some butter inside to get the fluffy texture – but unlike the cronuts they are not fried. Healthy! Or slightly healthier ;)
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
