Maybe you know these kinds of situations too… when you listen to a certain song or you smell a certain food or perfume you get instantly transported in your mind to a memory where this song or smell played an important role or is somehow connected with a (more or less) important memory. I have for example a compilation of songs I call “Pet Sematary Songs”. When I was a child I was reading Steven King books like crazy and one of them was “Pet Sematary” – back then I listened to only a few CDs with the same songs over and over. Nowadays when I hear these songs I am immediately back in my old bedroom, lying on the bed and reading this book. Every single time I listen to one of those songs ;) It’s quite a strong connection. One last cookie recipe for Cookie Friday before Christmas! It’s about time to get everything done and ready for the holidays, right? These Cinnamon Spice Stars are quick and easy to prepare – so if you need something last minute, these little stars are definitely something you could do. If you like the cinnamon flavor, you can make them actually all year round. They are not specifically for Christmas. Just sayin’! ;)
Cinnamon in bakes is always a good idea, right?! I could eat cinnamon rolls all day long. In combination with some nuts they get even better I think. That’s why I made my Cinnamon Sticky Buns today with pecans. So good. So sticky ;) In case you are going to bake these fellas one day, you will see yourself. Awesome combination! The minute they hit the oven you can smell them in the complete house. I’m drooling already just thinking of it ;)

I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
