Do you remember the movie “Flatliners”? It’s from the 90s and one of the characters has one very memorable line… “Today is a good day to die”. Well… that movie has actually nothing to do with this delicious Death by Chocolate Banana Bread, but you can see the name implies you might die by chocolate when eating this banana bread. I know – makes no sense, but I needed an opening line for this blog post :P
Today I am welcoming my second guest for my blogevent RE•CREATE – it is Andrea fromZimtkeks & Apfeltarte. She brought some delicious banana bread along. Yummy. I love guests that bring some cake – they can come back anytime they want ;)
I think most of you know banana bread in a different shape – more like a bread (who would have guessed) :P But not today. It’s time to try a smaller version – with streusel topping and walnuts. Sounds good, right?
I have baked a lot of banana bread already. Why? Because it’s hard to resist a good banana bread :)
There are a lot good recipes out there – packed with flavors – this recipe here is definitely a good one too. It’s made with booze ;) But that is not the only reason why it’s good. Almost like booze :P Just kidding. But it is really a good recipe. READ MORE
Banana bread – a beloved bake but also sometimes hated. Not everyone can handle the delicious flavors of overripe bananas ;P That should not bother us now – whoever ended up here is probably a fan of banana bread and will gladly enjoy the smell in the kitchen as soon as the banana bread hits the oven. This delicious banana bread also has some raspberries and chocolate added to highlight the flavors of the bananas – all in all, a great flavor combination!
Father’s Day is coming up – maybe this is something your dad would like? Well – give it a try ;)
I am not the biggest fan of peanut butter to be hontest. This means not I would not eat it when it’s in front of me, but I’m just not buying it on a regular basis in the supermarket – in Germany it’s not really common anyways.
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
