Well… the plan was actually to NOT bake more for Valentine’s Day this year, but somehow the idea for these Valentine’s Day Craquelin Cream Puffs has been (stuck) in my head for quite a while. They may not be the prettiest cream puffs in the world, but they were definitely made with a lot of love… and maybe they were made because I had to prove something to myself ;P
The plum season has started and those little purple fruits are now available everywhere. The supermarkets are overflowing with plums. This means it’s normally time to make a nice Damson Plum Cake Tray Bake again. Well… this year I decided to do something different. Smaller, but no less delicious: 6 Spices Damson Plum Pastries with a simple and easy curd-oil-batter. This plum season couldn’t start better… ;)
Did you know it’s “International Picnic Day”?! Oh yes – that’s a thing ;) So let’s grab some food and find a nice place outside to enjoy the sun and fresh air, shall we?! I made some delicious Empanadas with Chimichurri Sauce – enough to feed a football team! That should be a nice snack for our picnic…
Once again… it’s “Bake Together” time! Every last Sunday of the month Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte and I are doing our little baking event called “Bake Together – The Baking Surprise” and this months topic can be described as “let’s do something with strawberries and maybe pudding?!” – yeah! ;) Well… good choice! So today I got a new recipe for you with strawberries and pudding aka. Danish with Vanilla Custard and Strawberries. So good!
It’s the time of the month again – the last Sunday of the month is here and that means another round of “Bake Together – The Baking Surprise” with Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte. This time it’s all about pistachios! After all the bakes with fruits, we made the last several months, we thought it’s time to go nuts! ;) So today I got some nice Baklava with pistachios for you. I bet you will like it!
It’s Sunday and you probably have a bit more time for reading and baking. If you want to make this recipe, you definitely need a bit more time. Sorry for that ;) These Croissant Donuts require some waiting time, so be patient… but the reward will be delicious for sure! I mean – who does not like something sweet fried on his/her plate?! ;))
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
