A muffin a day keeps the doctor away, right?! ;) Well, that might not be totally true, but one of these delicious Blueberry Banana Poppy Seed Muffins will make you at least happy. Not sure though if a doctor would approve to eat those every single day. I mean… I would be very happy. How about you? ;)
Summer is the season for fresh fruits and berries. If you can get all that fresh from the farmer’s market it’s a must to make something with it, right?! ;) Right now we’re in plum season – this means, of course, you got to bake something with plums. Normally, we would make a big tray of plum streusel cake to celebrate plums and the start of the season but this year decided to bake something different. A delicious Damson Plum Poppy Seed (Streusel) Cheesecake. A great combination in my opinion. Isn’t it? ;)
It’s time again for a new “Bake Together – The Baking Surprise” with Andrea Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte. Once a month we get together (virtually) and create something based on a topic we’ve chosen in advance – not knowing what the one on the other end of Germany (we live far from each other) is doing. This month it’s all about fruity muffins. You probably noticed that already when you saw these Jumbo Muffins with blueberries, lemon, and poppy seeds ;P
Thanksgiving is over, let’s get ready for the next holiday: Christmas! The day of the days is only a few weeks away and will come as a complete surprise again for many people out there ;P To make sure you got something delicious to nibble on for the upcoming Advent season I have a traditional German Christmas bake for you – a delicious Cranberry Marzipan Poppy Seed Christmas Stollen. One of my favorite Christmas bakes!
I guess you have experienced something like that as well before… you see something and you want it – no matter what. In my case, I see something and I want to bake it. Love at first sight, but slightly different ;) That is exactly what happened with this delicious (Polka Dot) Poppy Seed Cheesecake. I saw it and I wanted (to bake) it. I am a person that loves to share, so come over and grab a slice… because you know – love is the only thing that becomes more when you share it. Aaaawwwww ;)
I am not that cheesy normally. Don’t worry ;) How do I manage the jump from “love” to this cake and to Ikea in the end? Well… it doesn’t matter. Ikea. That was the jump ;P
There are some cake recipes you could call “all-time classics” – this Poppy Seed Streusel Cake is one of them here in Germany. People love it and you can get in basically every bakery around here. I love me a good poppy seed cake. Not only mine here – in general ;) Poppy seed is great for baking and you can do so much with it…
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
