Sometimes you have to experiment with ingredients… if you are lucky you get something awesome. If not it can end up in a big disaster. Luckily this Galette with Tomatoes & Plums and a Crust with Parmigiano here turned out pretty damn good! ;)

Today I have finally a recipe for you with plums! It was about time! I have ignored these little fellas this year so far. What a shame… some of you might have seen these tartlets already some time ago. They have been appearing on a blog – not this one here though :P
Sweet and salty – always a winning combination. For tapas too :)
I have to admin – muffins are not my favorites. It’s not that they are bad – not at all – but cupcakes are just better. Probably because of the buttercream on top – fat and sugar makes me happy ;) READ MORE
When (Damson) plums are in season in late summer and fall, we like to bake with them a lot. The season for Damson plums is not that long here in Germany, so you have to use that time wisely ;) The ones you can buy in glass jars or frozen in the supermarket are just not as good as the fresh ones. That’s the reason why we bake as much as possible in August and September. Delicious stuff like these Damson Plum Muffins with Meringue Topping. Some would say they are cupcakes… but they are not ;P
Mirabelle Plum season is almost over here – so hurry up to get the last ones at your farmers market or grocery store! I like those little yellow plums as much as the “regular” ones, though the flavor is quite different. The tart I made is pretty easy to do – a basic cust, easy to make filling and the plums – that’s all. And the result is really delicious :)
