Advent is the time for Christmas cookies – it all starts on the first of December and ends whenever all the cookies are gone. If you bake a lot like me that can be in late January ;P Every family has their traditions, and everyone has their favorite Christmas cookies. The amount of cookies to choose from is pretty much endless. Today I’ve taken a traditional recipe for Spitzbuben and modified the cookies a little. You can call them Orange Funfetti Spitzbuben now. Not your traditional Christmas cookies I have to admit ;P

Fudgy Biscuits Brownies

Brownies are a quite popular bake I’d say. Rich, sweet, and often very chocolaty. BUT they have to have a very specific consistency to be really perfect. You know what I mean – fudgy! The German language does not have a proper word for this I think… ;) We would probably describe it as moist and juicy… but that might bring up other pictures in someone’s head, right? ;P Anyway – these delicious Fudgy Biscuits Brownies are perfect. No matter how you describe them. Just take a look at the pictures and no more words are needed.

Apple Pie Buchteln (Sweet Rolls) with Streusels

When you talk about »Buchteln« here in Berlin, you often get strange looks. It’s just not a common name for this type of bake here – it’s more frequently used in the south of Germany. In English, you would probably call these Apple Pie Buchteln something like Apple Pie Sweet Rolls with Streusels, I assume. Whatever you want to call them – these fluffy rolls are super delicious and quite easy to prepare (if you like to work with yeast dough) ;)

Peaches ‘n’ Berries Summer Cobbler

There are so many delicious things you can make for dessert. The choice can be quite overwhelming, to be honest. If you are as indecisive as me sometimes, I recommend trying this simple Peaches ‘n’ Berries Summer Cobbler and serving it with some ice cream on top. It’s an extremely tasty dessert that can be prepared in no time at all and doesn’t require fancy ingredients. Most of them can be found in your kitchen cabinets I assume – with one small exception maybe ;)

No-Bake Cheesecake with Cherry Topping

There’s almost nothing better in summer than a delicious, chilled cheesecake, right? Simple no-bake cheesecakes are always my first choice when I want to offer something sweet to family and friends. We are also big fans of cherries, so combining a no-bake cheesecake and cherries seemed perfect. The result – this absolutely delicious No-Bake Cheesecake with Cherry Topping – is incredible. One of the best (if not THE best) cakes for a hot summer day! Definitely worth making. I wished I could pass around a few pieces, so you could get a taste ;P

Summer is always a great time for baking. You have a wide variety of fruits and berries to choose from, and everything you bake with those fruits/berries automatically tastes great ;) These Nectarine & Orange Scones are the perfect example here – delicious summer scones. Great flavors, fruity, refreshing, and also super easy to prepare.
