Anyone who has ever come across this blog will have noticed you can find a lot of cookie recipes on here. Maybe that’s because I’ve baked at least one batch of cookies once a week for several years. Today I got another new recipe to add to the list: Ritter Sport Rum Cookies. Delicious cookies with loads of chocolate, some rum (just a little) and raisins. Yes, you read that right: Raisins! ;P
If you want to eat a bit healthier, you should include foods in your diet on a regular basis that are good for your body. Stuff that contains lots of vitamins and minerals and stuff that’s good for your digestive system. A happy stomach and digestive system equals a happy (hopefully healthy) body ;) This means you should eat lots of fruits and veggies but also legumes and oats, for example. Even though oatmeal can be good for your body, these cookies are not quite a “healthy” snack I’d say. But they are better than most cookies from the supermarket though. Not only flavorwise :P

Happy Cookie Friday! Last week I made quite “nasty” American cookies – full of sugar and high in calories. Today’s cookies are pretty much the opposite. If you’ve been here before, you might know I am trying to reduce sugar in my bakes for quite some time already. With few exceptions ;) Today’s cookie recipe works without refined sugar. These Breakfast Cookies are a good example of how to use only a small amount of honey to create sweet and delicious cookies.
Anyone out there that loves trail mix aka. “Studentenfutter”? If the answer is yes, then you might want to take a closer look at these cookies here – they have everything you’d expect from a trail mix… peanuts, hazelnuts, cashews, and raisins. In my opinion, a perfect new addition to my Cookie Friday recipe list. What do you think?
I am a huge fan of Christstollen – not everyone that tried that classic German Christmas bake likes it though. It’s heavy and very sweet normally. However, I am pretty sure that these Mini Curd (Quark) Christmas Stollen will convert some stollen haters into stollen fans, or at least they will accept it (slightly more than before). These little mini stollens are really delicious and much smaller than a regular slice of a Christstollen… means they are gone much faster (in case someone forces you to eat one of them) ;P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
