Ice cream can be enjoyed all year round – summer and winter, right?! I think so. In winter, you might not be able to sit on the terrace with and enjoy it in the sun, but this Strawberry (Burnt) Cheesecake Ice Cream also tastes really good on the sofa when you’re wrapped in a warm blanket! If you like cheesecake, you will definitely love this type of ice cream ;)
Franzbrötchen are known throughout Germany, although they are actually a specialty from Northern Germany. Super tasty pastries I learned to love when I was living in Hamburg. For some time now, there is also delicious ice cream made with it… Franzbrötchen Ice Cream. A well-known German TV chef made this type of ice cream popular ;) You could call my version here a copycat… or simply an alternative if the other ice cream isn’t available in the supermarket ;P
Ice cream is always a good idea in the summer, right? In some situations even a lifesaver. On particularly hot days, delicious ice cream can cool you down and lower your body temperature a bit. I mean… it would be even better to take a bath in ice cream to really cool down – but who has a full bathtub with ice cream at home in summer. Not me ;P I actually prefer some nice Blueberry Cottage Cheese Ice Cream on a hot summer day. Super easy and quick to prepare – all without using an ice cream maker ;)
Ice Ice Baby… Vanilla… Ice Ice Baby! Does anyone else know this song? It’s been a while since this song was in the charts, but when I try out recipes for ice cream at home, this song keeps sneaking into my brain and I can’t get the thing out of my head for several hours ;) That’s what happened when making this delicious Apple Pie Ice Cream… once again! Ice Ice Baby! Luckily I don’t start jumping around as I used to when the song was still playing on the radio… ;P
What’s refreshing on a hot summer day? Ice cream of course! And what is the easiest way to get that ice cream in your mouth without spilling it all over yourself? An ice cream sandwich! These delicious Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches will do the job well, pretty sure about that ;P
Last Sunday was “National Ice Cream Day” in the USA. I totally missed that day this year. Bummer. Instead, I made a delicious crumble cake with cherries… well, happens. But in order to make it up with the “ice cream gods”, I will have some ice cream recipes this week instead. I didn’t want you to have a week without any ice cream at all – now that it’s a bit warmer again, you can always use a little refreshment. A delicious Ube Vanilla ice cream will cool you down for sure ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
