If you’ve been to the US you probably know this sandwich or even had one already – everybody else probably heard of it at least – the Philly Cheesesteak. Here in Germany, you can find them on many street food markets these days. If you have the opportunity you should try one of them. If there is no food market close by, you can always make them at home… with this recipe here. I think they will be pretty close to the original ones ;)
Have you ever had this problem? You want to prepare a certain dish but somehow you can’t get hold of all of the necessary ingredients? Not talking about fancy spices from India, West Africa, or something like that… those you can normally order online if you really need them ;) I am talking about simple sandwich bread rolls. I wanted to make a certain sandwich the other day and could not find the bread roll I needed for that anywhere. Well… this is still a baking blog here, so why not baking the stuff I need myself? So in case you need Hoagie Rolls and can’t find them anywhere – here is now a recipe you can use to bake them at home ;P
What are you normally eating for breakfast? Bread rolls and maybe some cold cuts or jam? Well… how about something new? Something different? How about some Breakfast Quesadillas with Scrambled Eggs? I am pretty sure there are many out there that would like to eat that each morning to start the day perfectly ;)
How about a quick and delicious snack/lunch/dinner option? Do you like Grilled (Panini) Sandwiches? I mean… who can say “no” to some melted cheese. Am I right? ;) Well… today I got a pretty easy to prepare grilled sandwich recipe with loads of mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and balsamic cream. Sounds familiar? Maybe because that are the main ingredients of a Caprese salad ;P
It’s time for something non-sweet. After all the cakes and sweet treats around Mother’s Day, I had to switch things up a bit. Not happening very often around here, I have to admit. Since it’s »Cinco de Mayo« I thought something »Mexican-inspired« could be nice today – so how about some super delicious Cruchwrap Supreme!? Anyone?
Mexican and tex-mex dishes are very popular around here for some time already. Not surprised – the food from this corner of the world is really delicious! No matter if it’s burritos, tacos, enchiladas, etc. …it’s all extremely tasty, but often quite some work to do in the kitchen if you want to prepare one of these dishes. These Tex-Mex Chicken Club Sandwiches are quick and easy to prepare – you could easily assemble them during your next lunch break and then eat them whenever you feel hungry ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
