Description

There is nothing better than delicious homemade ice cream with fresh strawberries. My favorite ice cream… soo fruity and creamy!

Ingredients

Scale

14 oz. (400g) fresh strawberries
1/2 tbsp. lime juice
1/2cup (100g) sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract*
7 oz. (200g) heavy cream
1/2 cup (120ml) milk

Instructions

1. Wash the strawberries, remove the green parts and then puree with the lime juice. Set aside.

2. Add the sugar, salt, vanilla extract, heavy cream, and milk to a bowl and mix until well combined. Mix in the strawberry puree. Cover the bowl and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours to cool down.

3. Fill the mixture into your ice machine and let it do its magic for 30-45 minutes depending on the power of your machine. Take the finished ice cream out of the machine and put it into the freezer for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Should work with most ice machines. If you do not have one at home, you can make the ice as well. Just put the mix into the freezer and let it freeze for one hour then mix again. Repeat several times until you get some creamy ice cream.
