Ingredients
Scale
- (8 small buns)
- 1 tbsp. active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup (120ml) warm water
- 3 tsp. olive oil
- 3 tsp. sugar
- 1 small egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2–2 cups (200g-260g) all-purpose flour
- sesame seeds for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425˚F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet with baking parchment and set aside. Add dry yeast and water to a large bowl and mix until dissolved. Add sugar and oil and mix. Let stand for about 5 minutes.
- 2. Add egg, salt and about 1 1/2 cups of the flour – add more if the dough is too wet. Knead until you get a nice soft smooth dough for about 5 minutes (it’s best to do it with your hands). Cut into 8 equal pieces, form balls and place them on the baking sheet with enough space in between. Cover and let rest for about 15 minutes.
- 3. Brush the rolls with some water and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven for 10-12 Minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool down completely on a wire rack.
Notes
- Enjoy baking!
