Description

Delicious banana bread with a delicious addition: Nutella!

Ingredients

2 cups mashed bananas (about 3 large bananas)
1/2 cup (120g) butter, melted
1 cup (200g) brown sugar
2 medium eggs
1/2 cup (120ml) milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 cups (390g) all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup (150g) Nutella

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a large loaf pan (about 12×4 inches or similar) and line with a stripe of baking parchment. Set aside. Mash the bananas and set aside. Melt the butter and let cool down a bit.

2. Add the melted butter and brown sugar to a large mixing bowl and mix until well combined. Add the eggs one by one and mix well after each addition. Add milk and vanilla extract and mix in. Mix the flour with baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to the bowl and mix until just combined. Add the mashed bananas and fold in. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tin and smooth out the top. Add the Nutella on top. Use a spoon or spatula and fold the Nutella into the batter – do not mix a lot, you want to be able to see swirls of chocolate in the baked banana bread. Place in the center of the oven and bake about 50-55 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Take the banana bread out of the oven and let cool down in the baking tin for about 10 minutes, then remove carefully and let cool down completely on a wire rack.
