Description
Delcious cookies with a very popular chocoalte here in Germany: Kinder Chocolate Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. A family favorite!
Ingredients
1/2 cup (120g) butter, melted & lukewarm
1/2 cup (100g) sugar
1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
6.7 oz. (190g) all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. milk
3.5 oz. (100g) Kinder Chocolate bars*, chopped
2.8 oz. (80g) semi-sweet chocolate chips*
1.8 oz. (50g) rolled oats
Instructions
1. Melt the butter and let cool down a bit. Roughly chop the Kinder chocolate and set aside.
2. Add both sugars and the melted butter to a large bowl and mix for 2-3 minutes until very light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add together with the milk to the large bowl and mix until just combined. Next, add the chopped Kinder chocolate, chocolate chips, and rolled oats and fold in. Place the dough in the fridge for about 2 hours.
3. Preheat the oven to 360°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with baking parchment. Use a cookie scoop* (or two tablespoons) and place dough portions with some space in between on the prepared baking sheet – the cookies spread a bit. Press some additional chopped Kinder chocolate into the dough (optional). Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes – the edges should be firm with a bit of color and the centers should still be a bit soft. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for some time, then transfer to a wire rack and let cool down completely. Repeat with the remaining dough and bake more cookies.
