Description

Delicious cookies with white chocolate and matcha. Perfect little treat for all that like matcha green tea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (120g) butter
  • 3/4 cup (150g) sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups (160g) all-purpose flour
  • 34 tsp. matcha tea powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup (100g) white chocolate (chips)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with baking parchment and set aside. If you use white chocolate instead of white chocolate chips, chop it.
  2. Add the butter, sugar, and salt to a large bowl and mix on high speed until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Mix the flour with matcha, and baking soda and add to the bowl and mix until just combined. Add the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips and fold in. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoons to place portions of dough on the baking sheet with enough space in between (I got 8 cookies on one baking sheet). Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges of the cookies are set and the centers still bit soft. Take out of the oven, let cool down a bit on the baking sheet, then remove and let cool down completely on a wire rack. Repeat with the remaining dough.

  • Enjoy baking!
