Description

These delicious brownies are baked without sugar or flour but are still sweet and with a great texture. Great treat if you want to cut back on some carbs.

Ingredients

Scale

5 oz. (140g) butter
1 oz. (30g) semi-sweet chocolate (sugar-free)*
7 oz. (200g) xylitol*
3/4 cup (90g) cocoa powder*
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. instant espresso powder*
3 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract (sugar-free)*
3/4 cup (75g) almond flour*
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup (70g) walnuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 330°F (165°C). Grease a square baking pan (18x18cm)* and line with a stripe of baking parchment. Set aside.

2. Add the butter and chocolate to a large microwave-safe bowl and melt – mix until well combined. Add the xylitol, cocoa powder, salt, and espresso powder and mix until well combined. If the mixture is still warm, let it cool down a bit before you add the eggs. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix in. Mix the almond flour with the baking powder – add to the bowl and mix in. Add the chopped walnuts and fold in (optional). Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and smooth out the top. Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool down completely. Remove from the pan, cut into nine pieces and serve.

Notes

Enjoy baking!
