French Toast Sticks

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices thick-cut toast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup (175g) heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • butter, for frying
  • maple syrup
  • fresh fruits or berries

Instructions

  1. Cut each slice of toast into 4 sticks and set aside.
  2. In a soup plate mix eggs, heavy cream, cinnamon, sugar and vanilla extrakt until well combined. Place the toast sticks in that mixture, turn around and let soak until all sides are covered with the mixture – let excess coating drip off a bit.
  3. Heat up a large pan and add some butter, fry the sticks from all sides until golden brown. Serve hot with maple syrup and some berries or fruits.
