- 2/3 cup (150g) butter
- 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
- pinch of salt
- pinch of nutmeg
- 2 1/3 cups (300g) all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3–4 bananas, medium size
- 3.5 oz. (100g) almonds, chopped
- 2 tsp. vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- slivered almonds for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180°C).
- Mix the butter and sugar and beat on high speed until light and fluffy. Mash the bananas or puree them and add to the sugar-butter mixture. Mix until combined. Add the remaining ingredients in several steps and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 10×4,5 (25x11cm) loaf pan and sprinkle with the slivered almonds (optional). Bake for about 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean (depends on the amount of bananas you used). Take out of the oven and let cool down completely.
