I did not plan to bake anything with plums this year for the blog – I have so many recipes already ;) Well… the universe wanted one more I guess and sent me mirabelle plums, so I had to give in and make this Mirabelle Plum Poppy Seed Streusel Cheesecake. I guess there are worse things that could have happened, so I am not complaining ;)
Easter is over – let’s get back to business ;) I hope you had a good time and you could spend some nice days with your family or friends – of course, only within the allowed limits and restrictions. Don’t forget those 6 feet distance at the dinner table ;) Easter was very quiet for us this year, but I was able to bake a few things… which none of them will end up on this blog here ;) This delicious (Keto) Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake here was made some time before Easter and did not survive until the weekend. Well… in case you still have problems organizing flour, you can try this cake here. No flour needed – almonds are used as a substitute here.
It is “Bake Together” time again! Yaaay! It’s been quite a while since Andrea and I have been baking together. We did not do anything in December because of the holidays so it’s two months already… Let’s get the new season started with something nice. Andrea and I both love yeast bakes so we decided to dedicate this month to yeast! Ok, that might be a topic which is too broad. Let’s say little pastries with a yeast dough ;) Well, these Poppy Seed Rolls aka. Mohnschnecken definitely fit in that category…
I wanted to make this cake for such a long time already… but somehow I never made it. There was always something else to bake ;) I should not have waited for so long… this sheet cake is so good! The poppy seed filling with the crunchy streusel topping is super delicious! You got to make this immediately! It’s an order :P
How about some muffins? Haven’t had any of those for a while. Would you like one too? Well… guess I have some left here to share. If you’re up for some delicious muffins with lemon and poppy seed raise your hand! First come, first serve though… :P
Are you a fan of yeast dough or are you on team “I hate that kind of dough because it does whatever it wants but not what I want”? ;) I baked a lot with yeast in my life, so I actually like it. It’s not working perfectly everytime, but let’s say most of the time. This pull-apart bread with poppy seeds and pudding definitely worked really well…
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
